How to be a good traveler?



GETTING ON GETTING OFF

  • Wave your hand to the driver in order to request him to stop.
  • Get on the bus by the front door
  • Don’t stay at the front of the bus.
  • Hold the handrails during the ride.
  • Don’t talk to the driver while he’s driving (unless it is necessary)
  • Ask for your stop by pushing one of the red buttons located on the vertical bars.
  • Get off the bus by the back doors.

TOBACCO

  • Like in all public places, it is forbidden to smoke in the buses.
  • Electronic cigarettes or equivalent are also banned.


ANIMALS

  • Dogs are allowed, except during peak hours, only if they are leashed and muzzled. Attack dogs (category 1), guard and defense dogs (category 2) are not allowed.
  • Small animals are allowed in the buses, only if they are carried in a basket or held in the arms.
  • Guide dogs are admitted.

STROLLERS

  • Strollers are allowed according to availability.
  • For your safety, you have to hold your stroller and activate the breaking system.
  • Strollers must not block the aisles or doorways.

DESIGNATED PLACES

  • Please let the seats to those who really need: disabled people, elderly people, pregnant women, people with heavy luggage or accompanied by children.

  • Buses are equipped with Ramps for PRM (People with Reduced Mobility), locations for wheelchair users, audio and visual information. Find the accessible bus stops here.

SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERS, SCOOTERS

  • For safety reasons, you have to hold your skateboard, rollers or scooter. You can’t use them in the bus.
  • In case of accident, you are liable for the possible damages caused to third parties.


BICYCLES

  • Bicycles are not allowed, except folding bicycles.


INCONVENIENT AND DANGEROUS PACKAGE

  • sInconvenient, dangerous or large package are not allowed.
  • If you want to travel with a heavy luggage, please contact us first in order to avoid any inconvenience.


MUSICAL TOOLS

  • The use of audible or musical tools are regulated, the noise level don’t have to bother the other travelers.
  • Please use personal earphones.


SAFETY

It is forbidden to:

  •  Degrade the equipment,
  • Write graffiti on the equipment available,
  • Activate without reason the device for emergency opening,
  • Be drunk in the bus.
    Any lawbreaker is subject to prosecution.

  • By using the bus, a kilometer made in the network on average produces 177 gr of CO2.


LOST PROPERTY

  • Any found object is kept for a period of 1 month at Keolis Châteauroux 6 allée de la Garenne 36000 Châteauroux. Beyond that period, they are transfered to Châteauroux Métropole.
  • Identity documents are transferred within 2 days to Châteauroux Métropole.
